“ Visiting IU and popped in while our son was in an audition on Valentines Day. Food was amazing! Massaman Curry probably best I have ever eaten. Staff attentive and friendly. And as an unexpected bonus, it was decorated for Valentines. Each guest was given candy and roses. We will definitely return to Blooming Thai when we come back to IU in the fall. ”

“ This is a MUST STOP in Bloomington. We spent 5 days in town literally JUST to try all of the different international foods. All 3 of us agreed this was one of the best, 2 in fact said it was THE BEST of the entire trip. Beautiful atmosphere. We shared the amazing appetizer platter, enjoyed bubble teas, and then tried their fried rice special, won ton noodle soup, and crispy pork belly. They were indescribably fantastic and perfectly done. The pork belly had an insane broth that made me think of the pork belly as secondary in importance, it was THAT good. The won ton noodle soup is a unique spin on won ton soup with so many additional ingredients. ”
“ BloomingThai is among the very best restaurants in town and a shining beacon of hope amid a 4th Street scene that, despite its reputation, mostly (BloomingThai and Kimu aside, bless them both) caters to timid Midwestern palates. The dumplings are terrific fried or steamed. The tofu larb is among the best vegetarian dishes in town. The huge bowl of hot and sour soup is among Bloomington's best bargains; order with it as many sides of rice as there are people and you can feed a small army. The other soups and the curries are superb too. The boba teas, smoothies, and italian sodas hit great on a summer's day, with astonishing flavors all around. The desserts are again best in town; the basque cheesecake, coconut sticky rice, mango sticky rice, and fried banana are all superb. Prices are low and portions are generous. And last but not least, Peanut, who typically runs front of house, is a gem. Whatever you order, ask Peanut for a small side of fish sauce! ”
“ There is several Thai restaurants in Bloomington and we’ve tried them all. Bloomington Thai is definitely the best. Now, strangely enough, the most delicious thing is the pho. don’t be afraid of the exotic ingredients. It really is worth a try. The rest of the food is really delicious. Well seasoned, spiced and very Thai. If you’re used to spicy food, medium heat will probably suffice. If you’re real adventurous do not go over hot. ”
“ Bloomingthai is my favorite Thai restaurant in Bloomington! The food is always delicious, the staff is very friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. The portions are big and the flavors are excellent. So far everything I’ve tried has been great, from appetizers to soups, curries, noodles, and rice plates. They also have a great fruit tea/milk tea/coffee selection and a variety of desserts. Some of my favorites are the masaman curry, krab rangoon, Thai dumplings, ginger rice and banana coconut sticky rice. ”
